Have you ever stopped and listened to the world?
To slow down enough to get out of your own head.
To hear the hum of the planet.
The rhythm of the…
Birds…
Frogs…
Crickets…
As they repeat their songs.
As I take a moment to reflect I think of the times when it always wasn’t like this.
A phrase that best explains it would be…
Being in an empty room but not being alone.
Put another way…
My mind was always running.
Non stop.
I couldn’t shut it off.
And I couldn’t stop it from worrying.
Worrying about everything.
The anxiety was almost crippling.
Until one day I couldn’t handle it any more and…
I asked for help.
I literally remember saying…
If this is life I don’t care if I live or die because this life sucks.
Welcome to the turning point 🙂
We all have them.
You see them in the success stories all of the time.
How an ordinary person achieved something extraordinary.
And most of the time…
It was right after they reached a breaking point.
The great news…
It is awesome on the other side.
The bad news…
Their is no way around it…
You have to go through it.
And as you grow so will the breaking points.
But after a while you can recognize them…
And get through them much easier.
It is the storm that brings the calm.
Embrace the storm and learn to deal with yourself…
And you can have all of the peace you want 🙂
For me it was…
Living a life that was given to me…
Not created by me.
I knew what I wanted but I wasn’t doing it.
I was doing what I thought everyone else wanted me to do.
What I “should do”.
Turns out…
That will kill all of your happiness and joy.
Once I started asking myself what I wanted out of life…
And started going for it the anxiety started to go away.
The thoughts settled…
And…
Life started being fun because now it felt like I was…
Living my life on my terms.
Cheers to finding what lights you up and calms you down 🙂
