When I think of Dubai all that comes to my mind is: Vision To Reality.

There was a small group of individuals that were standing in a desert and envisioned a magic place…

Then they went and created it.

And they have no plans of slowing down as they keep pushing the limits of what is possible.

We were so excited to get to go to Dubai and also very nervous as we heard they were very strict.

When we landed there was someone to meet us, and we walked quietly to the customs desk where everything was perfectly placed and everything was intentional.

We made it to our hotel and went out at 2 AM to explore a little…

Over the next two weeks we got to see and do some of the most amazing things ever.

We took a private tour of the markets with our Guide Abdalla.

He was from Syria and has lived in Dubai for many years.

As I got to know him better, I asked about the culture and the “strictness” and his responses made me smile from ear to ear.

When I asked: Do people get in trouble for “yelling” in public?

He said: We don’t care if you yell / fight…just do it back in your country. We have over 200 nationalities living in peace here and people won’t do anything to jeopardize that because it is such an amazing place to live.

He went on to tell me stories of how he lost his wallet and a street sweeper found it and returned it to him…

How he lost his cell phone and it was returned…

How people leave the doors unlocked…

And how they take care of people who don’t have the means to take care of themselves.

Over the days to come I got to see this 1st hand and it literally brought tears to my eyes to see how much love people had for each other.

I was wearing the traditional clothing from Dubai that Abdalla helped me get fitted for…

And while sitting by myself for dinner I had an Emirati send me a gift of some dates to thank me for honoring his culture with my clothing.

Everywhere I went they would call me “brother” and I really felt like they meant it.

It was something that can only be experienced in the moment…

And it kept happening time after time while I was there.

Not only did we get to experience an amazing culture but we got to experience some extraordinary things like…

1). The Worlds Fair where we got to visit countries from all over the world.

2). See the Palm Islands

3). Got to drive a $450,000 Lamborghini with no restrictions…other than don’t go over 160 miles per hour because the tires might pop with the hot asphalt…hahaha

4). Dinner in the sky

5). Dune bashing in 4x4s that took us to a private dinner in the middle of the desert

6). Riding on helicopters

7). Riding on Yatchs

8). Visiting the Burj Khalifa

And so much more.

They have plans for expansion of so many different aspects of their city and I can’t wait to go back to see what their reality will be in a couple of years.

I encourage you to book the ticket now if this is on your bucket list
because you won’t regret it 😊
