>  Business   >  The Day I Realized I Wasn’t Different

I was attending a training and developing on real estate investing…

And as I was sitting there anxiously waiting for the secret details on how to create success…

I had this conversation with myself…

He is a man…

I am a man…

He has a suit….

I have a suit….

He has a computer…

I have a computer….

I kept going through this process to try and see what he had that I didn’t.

I finally came to the realization that we were equal except for two things:

1). Our education

2). Our experiences

I finally came to the rationalization that he had way more education and experience in business and investing than I did and if I had similar education and experience I should be able to produce similar results.

Thats when I committed myself to a process of life long learning….

And it has been a great choice.

Because the life I live today is a result of the choices I made 5 years ago.

And I think everyone reading this can retire in the next 5 years with the right plan and the right support.

Because 5 years ago I was personally living in a RV in my friends yard wondering how I was going to pay the next months bills.

But over the years I have gained education and experiences that has shaped and molded me into the person I am today.

And I believe that you can to if you follow this simple…yet complex process of:

1). Creating a Plan – This is critical and the huge flaw is that it is incredibly hard to create a plan for something you have never done before. You are literally walking blind in this until you start educating yourself. People usually start off with free stuff and work their way to paid coaching to help in the plan creation but as we all know nothing goes as planned and that is where lack of experience plays into the outcome.

2). Put Numbers To The Plan – If I was a betting man I would bet that very little people actually create a plan and almost no one creates financial projections….and I would be a rich rich man just off of this. Thankfully I am not a betting man and understand finance at an incredibly deep level as I used to create financial models for internationally publicly traded companies and have created a way to turn the complexity into simplicity by using financial models to help with the decision making process.

3). Create A Support Structure – This is critical and can include your coaches, programs, accountability team, and anything else you can think of that you might need along the way. We call it “setting yourself up to win” and can make all of the difference when things don’t go as planned.

4). Take Educated Action And Get Feedback – This is the part where people get stressed and scared because they actually have to go out into the world and do something….and it might not work out like they thought. That is the part that is scary for most people and what stops most people from moving. They spend a lot of time getting ready to get ready and never do anything.

5). Adjust Plan According to Feedback – This part of the processes closes the feedback loop and makes it possible for the idea to evolve into something amazing. A lot of the times the original idea that was started has been transformed into something that no one could have imagined at the start of the project because of the evolution of the idea and the feedback loop.

Nothing can prepare you for your personal journey because it is your journey.

You are going to have to find something in yourself that keeps that fire burning bright.

Something that inspires you when you are ready to quit.

Something that keeps you focused day in and day out.

Something that feeds the soul but at the same time produces income to pay the bills.

The complexity of creating success is something that can’t be boiled down to a simple formula until you have actually achieved the success.

Because until you achieve success you don’t have a deep enough relationship with the process to fully understand it.

But once you do….watch out!

Because you will be able to see exactly what is missing to produce the result.

It could be something as simple as process…

Or something more complex like company culture.

It is like being a band conductor.

You don’t have to know how to play every instrument…

But you do need to know what good music should sound like and can adjust accordingly when things are out of “tune”.

And there is only one way to get to this point.

And that way is through learning.

And you are going to either learn through other peoples experience…which we call education.

Or you will create your own experience to learn.

In my opinion the best way is a combination of learning through others experience and your own experience.

This looks like attending coaching programs and masterminds and then implementing the things you learned in your business and adjusting accordingly based on the results.

I can promise you there is no short cut in this process and the quicker you get started the quicker you can move through the process for yourself 🙂
