  >  Personal Development   >  What Are Ethics
Ethics.
Defined as….
The discipline dealing with what is good and bad and with moral duty and obligation.
How can you tell if something is ethical?
Well it is pretty simple if you have a compass called ethical…
Principles…
And…
Values…
To guide you.
Because these are the foundation of the people.
Specifically the people who are making the ethical decisions.
If the organizations…
And the people in the organizations making the rules have ethical…
Principles…
And…
Values…
And they live by those principles and values…
Then you could say they will do a good job running the day to day and making ethical decisions.
But if they don’t live by these principles and values?
Well….
You get chaos.
You get self serving people.
You mess up the natural flow of business.
And you get something that can’t successfully sustain itself because…
The natural laws have been broke.
And when I am talking about success….
I am talking about much more than bank accounts…
Because we all know people with big bank accounts that weren’t ethical and I can promise you this…
They are miserable.
Because you can’t continually be unethical and full of joy at the same time.
Unethical behavior actually causes…
Stress…
Anxiety…
Guilt…
And wrecks relationships and reputations.
Think about this the next time you are given the opportunity to make a questionable decision.
I can promise you nothing can fill the void created by being unethical.
The question is…
What are your principles…
And…
Values?
And…
Are they ethical?
And…
Do you live by them?
When I look at really great…
Teams…
Businesses…
Countries…
They all have a set of principles and values they live and die by.
Because that is what makes them who they are.
And guides them in their day to day life.
Go find a set of principles and values for yourself!
And if you need some help I included some below….
